Question 1

What is Driftkeep?

Accepted Answer

Driftkeep is a community-driven multiplayer idle RPG where time flows differently. Your character continues to progress even when you're offline, and you work together with other players on weekly community goals. It's designed to respect your time while still offering meaningful progression and social interaction.

Question 2

How does offline progression work?

Accepted Answer

When you log off, your character keeps adventuring in their current zone for up to 24 hours, earning gold, XP and resources at a reduced rate compared with playing live. When you return, you'll see a summary of everything gained. Your offline progress also contributes to active community goals.

Question 3

What are community goals?

Accepted Answer

Every week, the realm faces a shared challenge - like relighting the forge or defending against invasions. All players contribute their progress toward these goals. When milestones are reached, everyone who participated earns rewards.

Question 4

Is Driftkeep free to play?

Accepted Answer

Driftkeep is free to play during early access. We're still finalising our monetisation approach, but we're committed to respecting your time. No pay-to-win mechanics - any purchases will be cosmetic or convenience items that don't affect gameplay balance.

Question 5

Can I play with friends?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Add friends, form a party to fight together and share XP, chat in real time or by whisper, and see other players in every zone. Everyone contributes to the same community goals and competes on the leaderboards. Guilds are planned for a future update.

Question 6

What platforms is Driftkeep available on?

Accepted Answer

Play in any modern web browser, or download the desktop version for Windows, macOS or Linux, which updates itself. There are no mobile apps yet. Your progress is saved to your account, so it follows you whichever way you play.

Question 7

How do I report bugs or give feedback?

Accepted Answer

We love hearing from players! Join our Discord community to report bugs, suggest features, and chat with the development team. As an early access game, player feedback directly shapes development priorities.
